[ Da Nang, Vietnam - Stop 4 of Spring/Summer Expedition ]
Da Nang, formerly known as "Tourane" and also called "Quang Nam," is located in central Vietnam and borders Hue to the north and Nha Trang to the south. Backed by the Marble Mountains and with the Cham Islands acting as a natural barrier to the northeast, the bay has a horseshoe shape and deep waters, making it a naturally excellent harbor. Its pristine, long beaches are comparable to those in the Maldives, with clear blue skies and turquoise waters. In addition to its unbeatable natural beauty, Da Nang also offers a glimpse into ancient history with its old town and a sense of serenity that is rare in the hustle and bustle of city life. Once a small fishing village, Da Nang has now become a popular vacation destination. Under the scorching sun, all members of our company packed their bags and brought their loved ones to embark on the fourth stop of our Spring/Summer Expedition - exploring Da Nang, to experience the customs, culture, and charm of a foreign land.
>> Son Tra Peninsula > Chùa Linh Ứng Temple
Lingyun Temple is located on the Camellia Peninsula in Da Nang, nestled in the Camellia Mountains with its face toward the sea, enjoying a prime location. Inside the temple is a 67-meter-tall white jade statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, considered the tallest in Southeast Asia and a major attraction for tourists and worshippers alike. The layout, architecture, and Buddha statues in the temple all exhibit clear Chinese elements, indicating a deep influence of Chinese culture.
>> My Khe Beach
My Khe Beach, which stretches for about 18 kilometers, has been named one of the world's six most beautiful beaches by Forbes Magazine. The beach meets international standards for safety and hygiene, and has a very gradual slope, with water reaching just above the head after walking about 150 meters toward the sea. There is no fish or shrimp farming here, so all seafood is wild-caught. The outstanding natural environment also makes My Khe Beach a famous surfing destination in Southeast Asia, and there are other water activities available, such as jet skiing, banana boat rides, and parasailing.
